CSA SOFTBALL

Welcome to CSA Softball where both Fastpitch and Slowpitch Girl's Softball leagues are offered for girls ages 7-16.  The season runs from April until June of each year.  Registration usually starts in mid February with player evaluations in early March.  Once registration is open, there will be a link to the right side of all pages of our website - don't worry - you will not be able to miss it.

Common Softball Questions:

Fastpitch vs. Slowpitch?  The simple answer for today is Fastpitch.  First, fastpitch really isn't all that "fast" when you consider the age group.  For those moving up from machine pitch leagues, the 9/10 year olds will likely be throwing slower than the machine did.  So, slowpitch is not really a more introductory level.

Plus, we want to be upfront about things ...  the interest in Slowpitch is almost non-existent.  Going on prior year experience, we will not have a slowpitch team at the upper age groups.  And even if we are able to make one at the 9/10 level, it will have to travel the parish to play.  In years past, our 9/10 fastpitch teams have been able to stay in house.

But if you really want your daughter to play slowpitch, we will sign them up and forward their name on to another association if they are able to make a team.
