CSA Football Leagues

CSA Offers Both Flag Football and Tackle Football as part of its Fall Sports.The CSA Flag Football Program is for children ages 5 -16 divided into different age groups.  The cost for Flag Football is $80 per player.

CSA IS OFFERING U5/6, U7/8 and U9/10 FLAG FOOTBALL.  THE GAMES ARE ANTICIPATED TO BE PLAYED AT BEAULLIEU PARK ON WEEKDAYS. 

Should CSA be unsuccessful in creating any level of Flag Football league then you will have the option to transfer to another fall sport or receive a refund.  CSA provides the jerseys and flags for each team.

All ages are the age of the child as of August 31 of the current year.

The  Tackle Football Program is for children 9 - 13 years old and divided into 4 catetories (which will play throughout the parish)

  • Niner (9 years old before Septem ber first with a minimum weight of 50 lbs)
  •  Mite (9 and 10 year olds with a minimum weight for of 100 lbs for 9 year old players)  
  • Junior (10 and 11 year olds with a mimimum weight of 100 lbs for the 10 year old players) 
  • Senior (11, 12 and 13 year olds with a minimum weight of 100 lbs for 11 year old players.).

Please note that players may be moved between leagues in order to field complete teams.  All ages are the age of the child as of August 31 of the current year.  For Tackle Football there is a mandatory pre-season conditioning program conducted prior to team selection and formation.  This conditioning program will start the week of

Costs for the Tackle Football program is $80 per player.  CSA will provide the Jerseys for each team.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENTAll tackle players are required to have the following equipment.

  1. Mouth Piece
  2. Cleats ( no metal spikes, must one piece molded rubber)
  3. Practice jersey (any color)
  4. BLACK football pants and pant pads. ( Bell Sporting Goods has the pants with pads built in)
  5. Helmet
  6. Shoulder Pads

All Flag Football players need the following

  1. Mouth piece
  2. Cleats ( no metal spikes, must one piece molded rubber)
  3. Shorts (color will be determined by coach after the draft)
